Achieving our aim will cost about £2.25 million. We’ve applied to the Heritage Lottery Fund for £1.27 million. The balance will be met by the County Council that has pledged £300,000, £80,000 worth of volunteer time and a vigorous campaign of fund-raising. To date we’ve narrowed the gap to £20,000.
Would you please help to close that gap? You can do so by using this link: https://localgiving.com/the-tywi-gateway-trust
Thank you in anticipation!
Do you have you an interest in history, gardens, education or events? Would you like to meet new people and learn news skills working within a beautiful and fascinating park and garden?
If you have some free time to give we would be delighted to welcome you to join the volunteer team at the Bishop’s Park. The Bishop’s Park is a community driven project and volunteers will be at the heart of everything we do. Without volunteers much of what we want to do wouldn’t be possible.
If you would be interested in getting involved in our project and wish to help save and restore the Bishop’s Park for future generations we will have volunteering opportunities to help with initial grounds clearance work.
As the project develops we will be offering additional volunteering opportunities to get involved through taking part in guided tours and talks, arts and educational workshops, gardening projects, public events, visitor welcome and catering, exhibitions and project administration and management.
We would welcome any amount of time that you are able to offer the project – all we ask is for your commitment, reliability and above all, enthusiasm.
