We’re really excited to announce some of our public events finalised for the year – we hope there’s something for everyone, but if you have any ideas, comments or feedback do let us know. These events will also be promoted on social media – so do share our posts and help us spread the word!

We’ll be adding activities and events to this list over the coming months, including monthly tours of the Park and more holiday activities for families.
31st May 2021, 10-12noon – Family Activity Session: Nature Journey Sticks & Clay Imprints. A creative make and take session led by local art educator Lou Bourns focussed on looking, exploring & recording to celebrate Wales Nature Week.
5th June, 10am-4pm – Paws in the Park! Bring your pooch to the Park and meet other dog walkers, find out about health, nutrition, training and more.
9th June, 11-12noon What to See Now: Monthly Tour of the Park
3rd July, 2-5pm Haymaking Picnic. Bring your family and a picnic and celebrate National Meadows Day with us – including Bishop’s Park apple juice tasting, scything demonstrations and children’s activities; learn more about our plans to increase floral diversity and manage Waun Fawr for wildlife and biodiversity.

14th August, 2-5pm Kite Flying Competition & Kite Making Workshop. A focus on the handmade, and the traditional – kites provide endless hours of fun for adults and children alike; join us in a homage to the handmade kite – with prizes for the best flying and best-looking kite!
4th September, 2-5pm The Bishop’s Park Show. Join us to celebrate all things grown and produced locally at our horticultural and produce show. Enter your prize tomatoes, your best lemon drizzle, and see how your dahlias measure up! With craft stalls and activities for all.
Events planned for the Autumn include willow weaving and fermentation and preserving workshops, a celebration of apple day, Halloween and Christmas activities.
